ITF Tourny, Day Four

Well, we were supposed to see some of our black belts test today, but it turns out that none of them are going to test. So, we went to Universal Studios Themepark instead. It's amazing that the parks are up and running when everything else in Orlando is a wreck.

Lefty, Guam, and I took a hotel town car to the park. Odd, I know. It worked-out costing less than a cab...we think. BB-J phoned Lefty while we were at Twister. Seems we had a miscommunication and he had wanted to join us. So, we headed back to the main gates and waited for him to show up. We were able to ride most of the big rides. Back to the Future rocks. I laughed so hard from the tummy tickles I hurt my ribs and my throat. I think I frightened Guam. The Mummy was pretty good too. We enjoyed the silly movie they show when standing in line more than the ride. Guam didn't realize it was an indoor roller coaster. I think she considered bolting when see saw the roll bar for our laps. She stuck it out though.

I have to say, Universal attracts a different caliber tourist than what I recall seeing the last time I was at Disney. Not sure why that is. Apparently most of the other park patrons thought we were a peculiar group. We racked up some nasty stares.

The cab ride back to the hotel could have been a theme park ride. Things were flashing and rattling that should not have been flashing and rattling. The transmission seemed to give a couple times on acceleration. But, the driver gave us a sweet deal on the fare because he didn't call in our ride.

After the park, we went to Red Lobster for dinner. We sat for about 45 minutes and watched the lobsters in the tank. A couple were doing their best to climb out of the tanks. One exceptionally large lobster keep combing it's tiny hind legs through its underbelly. Nasty. I'm not sure I'll eat lobster again.

I had a temper tantrum during dinner; I was cranky tired and didn't want to go to bed after we ate...at least that's my story for this post. Anyway, Lefty, Guam, and BB-J agreed to drag their tired, battered bodies to Pleasure Island to meet up with some other people from our school. We went to an okay Improv Group and then did some 80's dancing. I think I'm now afraid of BB-K. Talk about a loaded pistol.
